One day, when I was only 12 years old, I announced to everyone I was becoming a vegetarian. “Great”, said my mum, “but you’ll have to cook for yourself”.
So I did, and thus began my long lasting affair with the kitchen …
I have always been fascinated by food stores, markets and old recipe books. To me food is love, joy, celebration and health.
My career, though, did not go that way till few years ago. My education included a fine art school and theatrical design studies. I worked for many years as a designer for theaters, museums and commercial projects. Throughout these years I kept my passion for good food for my family and friends, but not any more! Today I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience with others.
Raising my own two children on natural nutrition taught me a great lesson- the joy of health is priceless!
Being healthy is, to me, a mean for fulfilling enjoyable life.
Today everything has come together for what I call the “art of good food”, I co-wrote two cook books; “Snoep Goed”, introducing healthy sweets and desserts for children and their parents and “koken in Kleur”, a natural cook book that looks at food trough the color theme (pereboom publishers).
I give healthy cooking workshops and happy to be part of ‘green catering’ team.

I knew I wanted to become a chef since my early childhood. The kitchen is my place; it’s where I feel in my element. It gives me a tremendous feeling of satisfaction to see my guest enjoying an unforgettable and pleasurable evening.
Throughout my career, I have been lucky enough to learn from top chefs in some of the best restaurants around. I have acquired 20 years of experience working with various cuisines and now I am proud to have developed my own distinct cooking style producing food of superior taste.
My dishes are created using fresh seasonal ingredients of the highest quality and this is what I would like my guests to experience.
The love of good food and a strong need to do my own thing have led me to establishing my own catering company (Grass Catering) where I can indulge in making use of pure, real ingredients.
Recently, I have become more and more aware of the connection between feeding our body and our spirit. From my own experience I have observed that what I eat has an enormous influence on who I am.
Therefore, I have enthusiastically set about to build on these experiences in order to enrich my vision on preparing food.
This has led to the extension of my company, resulting in the process of setting up ‘Green Catering’, with the intention of serving people food that is not only a pleasure for the taste buds but is also able to perk up their bodies giving them good energy and feel.
Natural and organic products in all their simplicity lay at the very base of all our requirements. I utilise these products to create dishes that maintain the fantastic taste and qualities of their pure ingredients to the full satisfaction and well-being of those who eat them.
